So I have been loving the weather here in NYC...it is the perfect
BOOT weather! That makes me so excited, but I am also lost as to which boots to get. As you know, I have always lived in Louisiana...I always buy boots as a fashion thing, but I have never really needed the boots to be functional for cold weather. Now that we are living in NYC, I am at a loss as to which types of boots are stylish as well as functional.

I love the first choice best but yes you are right, for walking around the flat ones are best.
For cold weather I bought rain boots with liners I can put in them. I also have a pair of bear trap boots that I always get asked if they are Uggs ( they dont even look like an Ugg)
I prefer choice 3. Any of these should work...looks like all 3 are leather. I would just stay away from any suede or other fabric like options or you'll have some wet toes!
